SYSTEM MANAJEMEN KESELAMATAN KONSTRUKSI (SMKK) DI INDONESIA
The construction safety management system
in Indonesia is known as the Sistem Manajemen Keselamatan Konstruksi (SMKK)
which is regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public
Housing No. 10 of 2021 which is an improvement of occupational health and
safety (K3) in the construction sector. SMKK in its application in the
Indonesian construction sector is still not independent or in other words is
still working and responsible for construction implementers (contractors). This
causes the roles and responsibilities of SMKK to not be maximized and can still
be intervened by the parent organization, namely the construction company
(contractor), even though SMKK has its own division in a construction project
in Indonesia. SMKK is already involved in a construction work at the time of
the assessment and planning phase, which is approving the results/products of
the assessment, one of which is the Conceptual Design of the SMKK Assessment
which includes initial information and technical recommendations for aspects of
location, physical environment, socio-economic and environmental impacts. This
study uses a qualitative descriptive method by taking samples of construction
work sites in the province of Riau, Indonesia.
